Dr. Preodor has an undergraduate degree from Emory University with Postgraduate residencies at both Cook County Hospital (internal medicine) and the University of Illinois, Chicago (Ambulatory Care Fellowship). After training at the Palliative Care Program at McGill’s Royal Victoria Hospital in Montréal he became Medical Director of Horizon Hospice, Chicago’s first hospice. After twenty years he became its President and CEO for five years.
Dr. Preodor is also a founding contributor to the Education on Palliative and End-of-Life Care (EPEC) curriculum, where in 1999 he became a Master Facilitator for EPEC and Director of the EPEC Project in 2004.
Prior to Rainbow Hospice, Dr. Preodor practiced at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in the Section of Palliative Medicine as a Clinical Instructor of Medicine in the division of Hematology/Oncology at the Feinberg school of Medicine |
