
Carolyn holds Masters of Science in Health Systems management from Rush University and is a Certified Hospice Administrator. Before coming to Rainbow Hospice, Handler received previous experience in the industry when she joined Hospice of Northeastern Illinois as their Vice President of Finance and Corporate Planning. Within a year of her arrival, Handler was promoted to President and CEO.
Prior to her work at in hospice, Carolyn worked for Advocate Health Care in Marketing, Managed Care and Home Care. She has been a Director of Home Health Services at Premier Health Alliance, the Assistant Controller for the Home Care Division of Evangelical Health Systems and she was the Director of Reimbursement and Financial Planning for the home care division of Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center.
Most recently, Carolyn has served as a Director of Planning and Board Relations at the Alzheimer’s Association in Chicago, where she worked on recruitment, governance and reimbursement practices for the organization. |
