About the Promise of Park Ridge
The Promise of Park Ridge, a public art initiative sponsored by Rainbow Hospice for the City of Park Ridge will be unveiled in Summer 2008.
Large fiberglass rainbow sculptures will be displayed throughout the Park Ridge business districts. These sculptures will be sponsored by individuals, local businesses and organizations who will also have the responsibility of decorating them or having them decorated. The uniquely decorated rainbows will occupy prominent places around Park Ridge, adding color, humor and life to public spaces. Public art projects like this create excitement and visual appeal but also have a significant positive impact on the community as well as economic development.
Mayor Howard & Mrs. Nancy Frimark and Mr. John & Mrs. Barbara Heinz are serving as Chairpersons of The Promise of Park Ridge.
