The Rainbow LIFE Institute for Learning is a direct outcome and natural extension of the Mission and Vision of Rainbow Hospice. LIFE stands for: leading innovators for end of life education which describes our expert, sought-after staff as well as the intention that we have to lead others into improved end of life care experiences.

The purpose and mission of the Rainbow Hospice LIFE Institute for Learning is to influence and inspire health care professionals and the public to understand that the end of life can be a time of comfort and personal growth for people who are dying as well as for those who love and care for them.
Through the activities of the Rainbow Hospice LIFE Institute for Learning, healthcare professionals, consumers and community leaders will have expanded knowledge and advanced competence to improve the way they support and serve people who are dying and those who are bereaved.
The Rainbow Hospice LIFE Institute for Learning has four major goals:
1.Challenge the way people think about death, dying and end-of-life care by providing a stimulating environment that encourages inquiry, studies assumptions, discovers options and discerns underlying influences.
2.Advance the knowledge, skills and competence related to the care and support of the dying and those who are bereaved through educational methods that include assessment, instruction, field exposure, internships and mentorships.
3.Contribute to the advancement of the emerging field of end-of-life care through research.
4.Become recognized as a leading and trusted resource for information, education and resources relating to end-of-life care.
